Work included demolition of existing buildings and clearing for a six-acre facility, installation of communication system, power for third rail and signal systems. Also performed construction of caissons for high mast light towers, work under and around existing third rail and track, civil and structural related work, which included excavation fill, grading, drainage, sitework, catch basins, manholes, water lines, sanitary lines, electrical duct bank installation and encasements, installation of 6,300 lf of track and 17 turnouts, including all third rail installation. Start of construction 10/1985 – completion 05/1988. |
