Construction of the Grove Street Station in the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System. The scope of work included one station platform. The platform concrete slab, which measured 185 feet x 16 feet, covered with 12 inches x 12 inches Liberty blend and charcoal concrete pavers, tactile warning strips and granite pre-warning pavers. Railings installed on the 37-ft x 8ft concrete walkway and 14-ft ramp at the west end of the platform. A 15-ft x 7-in railing was installed at the east end. Eight 10-in diameter structural steel columns supporting 1½ -in 20GA roof deck were covered with standing seam metal roof. Three 4-seater benches, three trash receptacles, eight light poles on platform, and ten light fixtures under the station canopy were also installed. Windscreen was made up of glass block, enclosed in a tubular steel frame. |
